Fathers and Families Center and Christian Theological Seminary Announce New Partnership to Expand Counseling Services

Indianapolis, IN – September 2nd, 2025

Fathers and Families Center (FFC), a nonprofit organization that is committed to empowering fathers and strengthening families, has entered into a formal partnership with the Christian Theological Seminary (CTS) Counseling Center to expand access to critical counseling services for families in central Indiana.

Through this collaboration, FFC will refer individuals and families in need of support to CTS Counseling Center, where licensed clinicians will provide mental health counseling, marriage counseling, and family therapy services. The agreement ensures that FFC clients can receive professional counseling at a discounted rate, thereby removing barriers to care and improving outcomes for families.

“This partnership underscores our commitment to holistic support for fathers and families,” said Larry Smith, President/CEO of Fathers and Families Center. “By connecting our clients with trusted mental health professionals at CTS, we can better address the emotional, relational, and practical challenges that impact families every day.”

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed earlier last month, details FFC’s commitment to referring clients and compensating CTS for services rendered. Both organizations emphasized the importance of confidentiality, accessibility, and quality care as guiding principles of the partnership.

Bryan Votaw, LMHC, LPC, ACS, Clinic Director at CTS Counseling Center, added, “Fathers and Families Center has long been a vital resource to the community. The CTS Counseling Center is proud to partner with FFC to help fathers and families find hope and healing!”
